Bikaner Camel Carnival – The All Famous India Festival Tours

The Bikaner Camel Festival is celebrated in the lovely city of Bikaner, Rajasthan. This desert town is situated in the North Rajasthan. Bikaner is a vivacious, dust-whirling desert town with a magnificent fort, a revitalizing outpost experience and a promising tourist attraction. Near to this fabulous fort dwells the rocky old walled city, a middle-aged mess of contracted, dim and bumpy lanes garlanded with gamblers’ caves, burgundy sandstone havelis and two elegantly painted Jain temples.

Bikaner is said to be known since 1488 and is founded by Rao Bika, a successor of Jodha, Jodhpur’s creator. It is also being said that when the British arrived centuries later, the state of Bikaner exchanged its most excellent camels for its independence.

House to India’s only camel breeding farm and the largest such farm in Asia with a growing camel safari industry; it’s not surprising to hear that this city organizes a festival dedicated to – camels. Yes, there’s a camel festival held in the month of January every year is something that no India festival tours visitor would ever want to miss on the Rajasthan India travel.

The festival begins with a procession of well-dressed camels, while the second day belongs to the camel race. Nights offer the camels a break from all the admiration, and are enjoyed with traditional dances, including Bikaner’s famed fire dances, which can now only be seen during this festival. The festival concludes with the foreseeable firecrackers which are certainly worthy of a visit while you are on India Travel.

Bikaner may be known for its camel expeditions and remarkable, but it is its matchless temple in Deshnok that attracted many travelers to this place. The Karni Mata Temple is ‘one of its kind’ attractions in this region. It dwells rats in thousands of numbers, yes rats and pilgrims visits this place on regular basis to worship these long tailed gnawers. Do you know that you have to go into the temple shoeless?
